S&D Seminar on the European Diplomatic Academy
Global crises and challenges to the rules-based international order, such as Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, are some of the most pressing issues for EU foreign and security policy that require effective European diplomacy. To become a fully-fledged global player, the EU must equip itself with a genuinely “EU” diplomatic service determined by a common EU diplomatic culture. The EU pilot project for a European Diplomatic Academy aims to introduce new momentum into the debate on the future of EU foreign policy. As a promoter and staunch supporter of the project, S&D proposes to discuss the contribution of the European Diplomatic Academy to a clear, visible and effective EU foreign policy and its further prospects.
