The S&D Group strongly condemns the latest terrorist attacks in Turkey and sends it condolences to the families of all the victims.
S&D MEP and European Parliament rapporteur on Turkey Kati Piri said:
"The pictures coming in from Kayseri are heartbreaking. This morning 13 soldiers were killed and 48 wounded in another terrorist attack in Turkey.
"We send our condolences to the families who lost their loved ones, and hope for a speedy recovery to the many injured who are still in hospital.
"We strongly condemn the series of fatal bombings perpetrated by various terrorist groups, including the blast in Istanbul that killed 44 people last week.
"We stand united with all citizens of Turkey in the fight against terrorism.
"Once again, we reiterate that the PKK must remain on the EU's list of terrorist organisations."
