Due to the upcoming 2024 European elections, the S&D Group informs you that we will not welcome trainees in the 1st semester of 2024.

For more information on our traineeship funds, registration period(s) and the application procedure, etc. please contact: s-d.traineeships@europarl.europa.eu. Please note that we DO NOT accept spontaneous traineeship applications via this email address. Only applications sent via the online system (during the registration period) will be taken into consideration.

As part of our fight against xenophobia and racism – particularly against Roma communities – the S&D Group created this fund in 2010 to get young Roma people involved in policy-making at all levels and give them an insight into the work of the European institutions.

The candidate of this fund must be part of the Roma community.

General provisions

In order to determine to the department that best suits your profile, you can find out more about the work of each team in our Secretariat.

To apply for a traineeship you must fulfil the conditions specified in Article 3 of the internal rules governing traineeships in the S&D Group and complete the online application form.

When applying online, you have a maximum of 30 minutes to complete each page of the application form. Please note that if you leave your application form inactive for 30 minutes, the data you have entered will be lost. We therefore advise you to read the internal rules before starting to fill in the application form online.

To prevent the system becoming overloaded by a large number of applications, we advise you not to wait until the last day to apply.

The application is submitted in a single operation and cannot be changed once submitted. Therefore, please make sure that it is correct and complete before submitting it. Once you have submitted your online application a confirmation message will automatically be sent to your email address.

Please note that incomplete applications will automatically be rejected.
