The objective of the public event is to take stock of the S&D achievements during the ongoing parliamentary mandate in the field of culture, education and media and to issue recommendations for the future mandate.

The first panel: 'For a Quality Education for All', will address the 25 years of the Bologna Process, stressing what still remains to be achieved in the European Education Area (EEA) and the challenges of the European flagship programme Erasmus+.

The second panel: 'Towards a Europe for Culture",  will mainly focus on our proposals to improve the social situation of workers in the cultural and creative sector (CSS) and to support the sector further as need be, with a particular focus on Creative Europe programme and European Capitals of Culture.

The third panel: 'Media Freedom in a Digital World', will provide insights into digital transformations impacting the media field. It will cover the new legislation on European Media Freedom (EMFA), relevant aspects of the Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPPs) meant to protect journalists and quality information better, and how AI impacts the sector.
