When and where?
In the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Sunday 4 May from 10.00 to 18.00.
In the European Parliament in Brussels on Saturday 10 May from 10.00 to 18.00.
Come and meet the S&D Group. Our favourite time of the year is almost here! Europe Days are a great opportunity for us, the Socialists and Democrats and our sister parties, to engage with citizens living in, or visiting, Strasbourg and Brussels, to show them how our priorities and our daily work aim at improving their lives.
At the same time, Europe Days are an occasion to get together and celebrate the importance of the EU through a series of activities, information campaigns and entertainment, all organised in harmonious and structured events in the two cities. Interactive activities, quizzes, games and music are always on the agenda.
Don’t miss out! The theme for this year's events is 75 years of the Schuman declaration.
What is Europe Day?
Europe Day marks the anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, presented on 9 May 1950. This signalled a new era for peace, integration and democratic cooperation in Europe, laying the foundations for the European Union as we know it today.
