TOGETHER - A new direction for a progressive Europe - Stand up for our future! Europe is at a crossroads. Populist and anti-EU parties are on the rise across Europe. For the first time a member state has voted to leave the Union and we are still struggling to get to grips with both the refugee and eurozone crises. Europe desperately needs to be reformed with new ideas, taking a new direction. To do this we need to work Together. We are launching a new journey for Europe. A journey where your voice can help shape the future of European politics. A journey towards a fairer, sustainable and more equal Europe. A global Europe, capable of facing and tackling global challenges. Together is more than a political promise: it means involving our citizens in building a progressive Europe. Over the next 18 months, we will be holding events across the EU encouraging citizens to contribute to this new direction for Europe. We welcome you to join us at the start of this journey on October 19th in Brussels or online here. #EuropeTogether

On October 19th we will bring citizens, NGOs and representatives from across Europe together in Brussels to launch this new project. Leading academics and politicians will be there to contribute to the debate and respond to your questions and ideas on the future of Europe.

This project cannot work without your input. Your ideas are at the heart of our policies, and you are at the heart of our project. Register and send your questions below – by Monday 17th October at 18h00 at the latest – and become an agent for the change you want to see in Europe.

So come and join us on Wednesday 19th October 2016, from 16h00 to 19h00 at the European Parliament in Brussels - József Antall (JAN) building in Room 4Q2. Sign up now as places are limited!

We want to connect with people across Europe, so the event will be live streamed direct to you and we will be taking your questions via Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. We will try to ask as many of your questions as possible.

We want to make the launch of our Together initiative an inclusive event. As such, we're opening an Instagram contest to see citizen's Europe: what they love about Europe, what inspires, what captures the meaning of Europe!

Entering is simple; just tag our Instagram account (@socialistsanddemocrats) in the picture that best shows Your Europe! The entries will be displayed at the event in Brussels on October 19th and one lucky participant will win €200 worth of mobile photography equipment, so get snapping!
