Relaunching Europe: Budapest : YOUrope – Your Future

Relaunching Europe is back on the road! Where to this time? The wonderful city of Budapest, Hungary (on a boat on the Danube river to be precise!). So on June 11, come and join us for our open debate and discussion on the issues facing Europe’s youth.

Since the crisis, youth unemployment and the lack of adequate opportunities for our young people have blighted our continent. Though the worst days of the crisis have now ended and many of the issues that arose from it have been resolved, youth unemployment remains rampant. In some countries within the borders of the EU, Hungary included, large numbers of young people have been forced to leave their country in search of work. Others have been left in a state of limbo, without a job, without educational opportunities and without a prospect of a better future.

What can Europe do? How can we stop this tragedy? How can we provide jobs and opportunities for our young people? And how can we stop forced emigration?

On the day we’ll be joined by an array of interesting speakers, from politicians to professors, business leaders to musicians. All that’s missing is you. This is YOUrope, it’s YOUr Future, so you’re up! It’s time for your voice to be heard. The debate will be presented and moderated by Hungarian TV journalist Antónia MÉSZÁROS.

The event will be followed by refreshments and a live band, Útközband, with lead singer Pély Barna.
