Ahead of the SPD Party Congress starting in Berlin on 10 December 2015, S&D Group President Gianni Pittella will join the International SPD Conference on “Shaping change in turbulent times” on 9 December 2015.
Gianni Pittella will give the introductory remarks and open the panel on “EU and Africa – solving global challenges together”.
During his two day visit, Gianni Pittella will meet with Sigmar Gabriel, Chairman of the SPD and Thomas Oppermann, Chairman of the SPD Parliamentary Group in the Bundestag. Gianni Pittella will also meet the German NGO “Deutsch Plus” to speak about the importance of integration and inclusion measures during the refugee crisis and following the recent terrorist attacks in Paris.
Gianni Pittella will also be present at the “International SPD Reception” on Wednesday, 9 December 2015 and will be available for any press inquiries.
