S&D Conference: The Circular Economy

S&D Conference: The Circular Economy.

At the event, Commissioner Vella spoke on the state of play of the EU Action Plan for the Circular Economy, while our rapporteur Simona Bonafé commented on the discussions in the European Parliament on the legislative waste package.

A deeper view on the challenges and possibilities of the circular economy was given by keynote speaker Walter Stahel and by specialists who drilled into three priority material groups: plastics, technology metals and bio-based products.

In the afternoon, we explored the potential of ecodesign, reuse and remanufacturing, as well as the possibilities of closing the loop for transport vehicles (planes, ships and cars).
