Our Team

The Political Cooperation and Coordination with Strategic Partners Unit is focused on the Group’s relations with external partners and coordinating our work effectively. The team is responsible for three key areas:

• Relations with organisations in our political family: the PES, YES, PES Women, the PES Group in the Committee of the Regions and progressive foundations, in particular FEPS.
• Relations with trade unions, employers' representatives, NGOs, the Workers' Group in the EESC, the Group of Socialists, Democrats and Greens in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and other sister organisations, notably the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY), Rainbow Rose and the Progressive Alliance.
• Working with progressive forces in the national parliaments of the 27 member states, building strong networks and regular meetings.
