Fair trade - (Watch the video)

Trade between different countries is a good thing. It has created jobs and improved living standards as a whole. But, has everyone benefitted in the same way?

There has been evidence to show that trade has benefitted some parts of society more than others. This is not fair.

We think trade needs to benefit everyone, workers, small and medium-sized businesses and consumers alike. A fair trade agenda is one that promotes jobs and economic growth but that also looks after workers and keeps environmental and social standards in place.

Prohibiting unfair practices, removing loopholes and safeguarding fairness in the relationships between business users and online platforms is vital to the development of the Digital Single Market.

We stand for a model for progressive trade that benefits the many and not the few.
