Quote of the week
For us a new phase has started with the outcome of the EP president elections and we will work together with our progressive colleagues in this house to strive for a better and fairer Europe for all.

Activities (summary)

The last Plenary session in Strasbourg has marked the beginning of a new chapter for our Group. Following Antonio Tajani’s election as President of the European Parliament, we are now facing two and a half years of EPP domination in all the three representative institutions of the EU. It won’t be business as usual for the next half-term. We are looking forward to the new challenges we are ready to face with the help of our newly elected EP Vice-Presidents, whom we wholeheartedly congratulate.
Last Plenary also meant a great success for our report on the European Pillar of Social Rights. You can find more details on the topic here.
Watch our wrap-up video of this Plenary session.

Upcoming activities
Next week our Group will be busy with the elections of all Committee Presidents. Follow our site for updates, as the names will be confirmed.

On Tuesday, the members of our PANA Committee will be having another busy day. You can read more about the Committee’s activities on our dedicated blog.

One of the events we are looking forward to in the following months is the third edition of the School of Democracy. Registrations are now open for the event, which will take place in April, in Reggio Emilia, Italy.
Young people aged 18 to 25 are encouraged to register and send us their views on democracy in order to be one of the 100 candidates  selected to attend this year’s event.
