Überhaupt nicht. Die 90er Jahre waren geprägt vom Triumph des sogenannten DrittenWeges, der das Verdienst hat, die Linke mit dem Markt versöhnt zu haben. Das hat sich letztendlich jedoch als historischer Fehler erwiesen, weil die Globalisierung bedingungslos angenommen wurde, ohne zu erkennen, dass diese sowohl Gewinner als auch Verlierer schaffen würde. Zu viele Linke haben sich auf die Gewinner konzentriert, dabei aber die Verlierer – vor allem die unteren Bevölkerungsschichten und die Arbeiterklasse – vergessen, die de facto den Populisten überlassen wurden.

The Socialists and Democrats voted today in the plenary in favour of the Commission’ proposal for a European Fund for Sustainable Development (EFSD) aimed at mobilising up to EUR 44 billion for investments in Africa and the EU’s neighbourhood.
